Automaticals Consulting uses online technologies that make it possible to increase the ease of use of our websites, the so-called "cookies".

Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer, smartphone, tablet. These small text files contain information, often a unique identification number, that uniquely identifies your browser or device. This allows us to learn more about you, your use of our websites, or your preferences and interests. You determine exactly how we may use this information via your cookie settings on our site.

Functional and statistical cookies

The purpose of these cookies is to make our websites function and to map the general use of our site

Functional cookies are used to make the websites or apps work. Without these cookies, our websites and apps cannot function properly. You can therefore not refuse or deport them.

These include, for example, cookies that:

  • Help remember your preferences such as language or region

  • Allow you to log in and stay logged in;

  • Allowing us to detect abuse and fraud;

  • Are technically necessary for the delivery of content and advertisements;

  • Keep track of the products you have added to your shopping cart; and

  • Allow us to detect bugs or other problems on the website and in the app.

With statistical cookies, we map the general use of our websites and apps in an anonymised way. More specifically, we use statistical cookies to determine which parts of the websites or apps are of most interest to users. We do this by measuring how many people visit a website or use an app, and which pages, items or articles are viewed the most.

The information we collect in this way is used to compile statistics. These statistics give us insight into how often certain web pages or parts of an app are visited and where visitors and users generally spend the most time. This enables us to make the structure, navigation and content of the website or app as user-friendly as possible. We cannot trace these statistics and other reports back to individuals.

Customization cookies

  • To promote and improve our own services and products ("marketing cookies")

We use these cookies to use your surfing behavior on our websites for our own marketing purposes. For example, thanks to these cookies, you can see advertisements for our own products and services on other websites and apps.

This category also includes cookies that are used to improve our websites, apps and services (e.g. cookies to collect feedback from users or cookies that map where users drop off in a registration flow).

  • To integrate with social media platforms ("social media cookies")

When we integrate content from Facebook, Instagram or Twitter into our websites or apps, these parties place cookies to learn more about your surfing behaviour. In addition, you can share the articles and videos you view on our websites or in apps via social media by means of "share buttons". Cookies from the social media networks involved are used to function these buttons, so that they recognize you when you want to share an article or video.

If you do not allow these cookies, we will not show this content.

  • To deliver personalized advertising ("advertising cookies")

To keep it interesting for you at all times, we use cookies that allow us to show you advertisements that are adapted to your profile. This profile is built on the basis of your specific situation and interests.

Specifically, we use your clicking, surfing and usage behaviour to get a picture of your presumed interests. Based on these interests, you can be included in certain segments, such as 'male, age category 30 to 45 years, married and children, interest in football'. Of course, you will then see other ads than the segments 'female, age category 20 to 30 years, unmarried, interested in traveling'. Data from different devices can be linked to each other.

When you create an account on our websites, we may also use your city, gender, and age to categorize you.

Automaticals Consulting also uses advertising cookies to:

  • Measure ad performance (e.g., how many clicks an ad was received)

  • Control how often you see an ad (this is how we prevent you from seeing the same ad over and over again)

  • Conduct market research to learn more about the audience that visits websites and apps and views ads

  • Improving user experience, software and systems.

Cookie settings

When you visit our webshop for the first time, we ask you to indicate via the cookie settings screen for which purposes you allow our websites or apps to place cookies. You can make a different choice for each device. For example, if you only wish to accept all cookies on your computer and only limited cookies on your tablet, we will take this into account.

How long are cookies stored?

How long a cookie is stored differs per cookie. There are two types of cookies:

Temporary cookies: these are cookies that are temporary in nature and are deleted as soon as you close your browser or app;

Permanent cookies: these cookies remain stored on your device until their retention period is exceeded or until you actively delete them from your device yourself.

A list of all cookies used by Automaticals Consulting can be found on this page. The list provides an overview of all cookies per cookie category as well as how long they remain on your device. More information about the retention periods with regard to the personal data we collect with the help of cookies can be found in our Privacy Policy.

Manually deleting or disabling cookies

You can choose to delete all cookies that are already on your computer in any browser. Please note that you will need to adjust these settings separately for each browser on each device you use. If you choose to no longer allow any type of cookies in your browser, including functional cookies, this may have a negative impact on the operation of our website.

To know how best to delete cookies on a particular web browser, you should look it up in the help files of the specific web browser, as the method differs depending on the type of web browser. If you are unsuccessful, you can always contact our ICT team via info@automaticals.com

GDPR

The information contained in cookies may in certain cases constitute personal data within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR").

The GDPR requires us to always have a legal basis to process your personal data. With regard to functional cookies, Automaticals Consulting relies on its legitimate interest to offer visitors and users an optimal and secure website, app or service. The same applies to statistical cookies, where it is Automaticals Consulting's legitimate interest to collect anonymized statistical data about the use of its websites and apps. For all other cookies that may contain personal data, Automaticals Consulting bases the processing of your data on your consent. You can withdraw it (again) at any time.

In addition to the right to withdraw your consent at any time, you have a number of other rights under the GDPR as a consumer that you can exercise against Automaticals Consulting. This includes the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority. More information about these rights and how to exercise them can be found in our Privacy Policy.

Furthermore, we always treat personal data in line with our Privacy Policy, which should be read in conjunction with this Cookie Policy. Information about the processing of personal data that is not collected via cookies can also be found in our Privacy Policy.

Changes to this Cookie Policy

We will occasionally have to adjust our Cookie Policy because, for example, our website or the regulations regarding cookies change. When we post changes to the Cookie Policy, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. You will always find the most recent version here.

If our Cookie Policy changes significantly (for example, when a new advertising partner is added), you will be asked to set your preferences again when you next visit the website.
